Problems with Existing Trees

Most problems with existing trees involve:

Health

Dieback, yellowing of leaves, etc. These are often related to site problems. Saving the tree may or may not be worthwhile -- we can help you evaluate trees' health and safety, and decide how to manage them.

Insects and/or diseases

Some insect and disease problems can be managed effectively; for others, there is no economical solution. We can help you sort this out, so you don't waste money on "cures" that aren't needed or effective.

Structure

Structural problems usually cause the greatest damage in the shortest time, but most people need help understanding them. We can help you recognize clues that point toward problems in your mature trees, and help you understand how to prevent problems in your younger trees.

A good start is to download Trees for Your Home and study it. It's free, but it's priceless -- the owner's maual you need if you own trees..

Please read through these pages to see how we can best help you, then phone or email us.
